You can still have conversation at your table loud.
Sunday Jazzy brunch. But don't take "jazz" too literally. More of a live 2 person acoustic band
There's only a single step leading down to it but the inside is probably far too crowded to get anywhere with any assistive devices. That said the staff would definitely do their best to accommodate you outside, they're wonderful people
Not recommended for small children.
7pm - 11pm
As long as you still order drinks you'll be fine
Live Jazz
Prices for drinks are ridiculously above average price, but the atmosphere and free live jazz music make it worthwhile. Interesting French menu with a prixie fixe option available during their happy hour.
Was happily surprised to find a table for 5 last second on a Saturday night, went there only to find out the table for 5 was actually a table for 4, composed of two smaller tables that are of different heights. The table was placed in an area that’s clearly meant to be a corridor, with shaky, squeaky chairs and no view of the live jazz. Our party of 5 quickly decided to leave. Night ruined.
Very nice environment. Loved the jazz band and the fries. Coming back for sure!
Great bar. Delicious drinks. Nice atmosphere.
Love love love - amazing jazz and vibes
I ordered the duck and a cheesecake. Both very good.
Food great, music good, decor fair, atmosphere bustling and crowded.
The vibe is rustic and intimate. The music is smooth. The hanger steak with mushroom risotto and shallot-red wine reduction literally made me shed tears of pleasure. I get it every time. The oysters are very fresh, the steak tartare is excellent. Decent wine selection too. One of my favorite restaurants in New York!
Great place and food and service.... love it
Jules is a gem of a restaurant with great food, impressive live music, and an incredibly friendly staff. I was a bit hesitant about feeling like an outsider as you'll quickly realize the staff is largely expat, but they are welcoming and inviting. If you like French food or just a general French feel, Jules is a must
Lively french bistro with love music and solid food. A great place for a group.
Wonderful little gem in the east village. French food (spectacular) and jazz every night. Mussles are great and the wine list is perfect. Recommend to make reservations since its a small place, specially in weekends. Enjoy the music and the fantastic food!
Food was phenomenal and the manager was a pleasure. An authentic french bistro. Also very reasonably priced compared to other places in the area.
Food- excellent, wine -excellent. Everyone knows it cause it was busy. Go before 7:30pm (that's when the music starts) definitely make a reservation
Great food, great staff, great music!
Gorgeous little jazz bar with live music, wonderful cocktails, friendly staff and cosy ambience. We stumbled across this place and sat at the end of the bar enjoying the 9pm show and a Ginger Mojito. Highly recommended for an authentic cosy little jazz bar in the east village.
The atmosphere was very lively and welcoming. The staff was so friendly and the food was amazing. The jazz band was great. I really enjoyed. This is not the place for a quiet dinner. I highly recommend this place
This place is quintessentially New York! Great food, the jazz trio was AMAZING! We went on a Saturday night, so there was an extra $5 charge per person (for the band) but totally worth it. Steak frites delicious and the branzino was very well prepared. This Okie ❤s NY and I will be coming back soon!
Love this venue. Jazz bands were great, food was delicious. Great place for a first date!!
Very good food and service. The waiters are very friendly. The live music is the icing on the cake. Great dessert. Will surely go back.
Had a mixed experience. Went for brunch. Mimosas were good. BLT was excellent. French toast was terrible. A bit hit-or-miss depending on what you order.
Chill vibe with great music and drinks. Will be back for food.
We Had an amazing evening at Jules , great venue great music and great food !!! Just come and enjoy
Great little gem for some live music and delicious food, if a little bit cramped
Jules is such a treat! I called on a Thursday evening around 730 for a reservation for their 9pm show. They accommodated no problem. When we arrived, we we’re immediately seated at a great little table close enough to the stage but not so close we couldn’t have a conversation. We had a bottle of 2015 Saint-Joseph and an order of escargot. Great trio of musicians, and kind attentive service. Can’t wait to go back.
Great French restaurant with Jazz on Mondays. For food get the escargot and the stakes, they Rae great. Waiters are super nice. A great experience and it doesn't get crowded which is even better.
No cover jazz spot, also serves good food with better atmosphere. Music isn't always jazz but light and background for sure.
Food was delicious. I got the short ribs, they just melted in your mouth which I love. I can't stand overcooked meat that is chewy. The live band also gave a great atmosphere. I would come back with friends.
Last minute idea. Was a mid size to small place so I was lucky to get seating for two. Waitress was excellent, good was very well made. My father owned a steak house and the cook grilled my steak perfectly!!!! And that is very hard for me to admit. Now why only 4 stars....jazz was good but band kept cycling some chord progression and didn't really spice things up. A little of beat here and there...would have liked some better tunes. Price was what you'd expect...no drink minimum...$2.00 cover charge was not expensive but wasn't told I'd be charged the fee... WE..... had a great experience and will go back again.
Best pancakes! Best delicious fingerling potatoes and eggs Benedict! Best live music!
Small, have that European bar vibe. Warm and service very good.
Live jazz and amazing French fare this is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Beautiful environment and friendly staff, always a memorable experience.
Very good experience, warm goat dish was awesome! Very comfortable vibe and stylist environment. If I come back to Ny, Jules is a place to visit again! Price is fair it's not a uptight french restaurant
This place is a treasure! Amazing service, fantastic live music, and such good, food! Will definitely go back for more!
Flavorful and fresh food. The service was excellent. The jazz band was also amazing, although they came in late. The restaurant can get a little too crowded.
Very charming & romantic. Authentic French
Excellent atmosphere! You truly felt as if you were in a jazz bistro in Paris...
Parisian experience in LES!! Come early and you might catch some old school piano players just happily jamming. The Cote de Beuf was astonishing.
Nice decor with live music and great food.Excellent service and food is just excellent. The duck breast and mussels in white wine is one of the best in NYC.
This was the first time in years that we’d visited Bistrot Jules for dinner. It was an entirely positive and delightful experience. The service was warm, friendly and efficient. Our waiter could not of been nicer. The maître d’, Arthur, was truly welcoming and looked after us throughout. We started with some yummy oysters, then partook of the very authentic onion soup And finally the frisée au lardon salad. Music added to the mood but was not intrusive and the general noise level was, in fact, really good. Can’t wait to go back.
Pretty ace location w food and drink and great entertainment. Cannot go wrong for am evening our or a good date. It might be too nice for a first date jk
Comfortable jazz club with decent dinner menu and fine beer selection. Short, safe walk from the subway. When I was there, the jazz was good and the food was ok. Go for the jazz, enjoy the meal.
Love this place. Every time I'm there, they treat me very well. They treat me almost like their family member. Wines? They are french, they know what they are doing. Food is good. And I love the live music here. I got to go back there real soon.
A gorgeous place with excellent ambience and dining experience. We went when it was quiet on a weekday evening, and were greeted with friendly staff and a relaxing, cool atmosphere. The live music wasn't too loud, food was very good, and staff were endlessly helpful.Meals come with bread and water, there is a lack of non-alcoholic options mind.Desert seen below was not a menu item, but was a special reccomended by the waiter.Worth the trip out.
Excellent music, at the most appropriate decibels to maintain a conversation across the table. J’aime!
Amazing place for jazz concerts and very good, reasonable priced food. We had the bruger, which was delicious. Jules is a very cozy place and not as commercialized as other jazz places.
This place is honestly amazing. I got the croque madame and it was so tasty! We sat on the little patio on Jean BaptisteDay and it was truly magical. There was a French jazz singer and band playing inside. The waiter taught us how to properly pronounce our menu choices. Overall, an lovely experience and we will definitely be back!
We arrived on time but there was an annual event the restaurant hosts for a school still on going. No problem, we sat at the bar and had complimentary food and drinks whilst the group finished. A quick turnaround and we had the best seats in the house. The food wasnt cheap but worth every penny. It was devine.
An excellent place for brunch, hearty tasty food as a main/entree plus unlimited mimosa/bellini (with the bubbles being of good quality) you cannot go wrong all in for $30. Also they have live music whilst you eat with a very authentic French feel atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Jules Bistro is lovely. My wife and I come here for brunch every weekend. The food and music is wonderful.
